Recruiting - Qualified Dispenser 

Hodnet Medical Centre requires a part time Dispenser, qualified to at least NVQ level 2 in pharmacy skills or equivalent to join their busy dispensary team. The successful candidate will also be required to work within the reception as part of this position.

Duties to include issuing prescription medications, handling and understanding of controlled drugs, dispensing and processing of repeat prescriptions, ordering and putting away stock, dealing with urgent prescriptions requested by GPs and other healthcare professionals. Other duties to include greeting patients at the reception desk, booking patient appointments and dealing with patients queries.

Key Skills and requirements:

• Dispensing qualification at least NVQ level 2 pharmacy skills or equivalent is essential.
• Being able to work as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• To remain professional, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
• An understanding of patient needs and safeguarding awareness.
• Good knowledge of EMIS computer system preferable although full system training will be given to the successful candidate.
